Lettings – What’s Available?
Lord Grey School offers a variety of sporting, recreational and leisure facilities to the community. We can boast of our excellent facilities for example; sports hall, changing rooms and netball/tennis courts which are designed to a very high specification and are all available to hire at competitive prices.
Our amenities include:
- Full Size All Weather Astroturf Pitch
(A half pitch can be hired subject to availability) - Sports Hall
- Outdoor Tennis/Netball Courts
- Grass Pitches
- Gymnasium
- Pavilion
In addition the school offers excellent educational and conference facilities including:
- Main Hall
- Specialist Classrooms
- Lecture Theatre
- Drama Studios
- Dining Hall
- Car Park

Policy and Pricing
Insurance is required for each booking. This can be by providing a copy of your insurance policy. The policy must offer at least the equivalent cover of the policy available for purchase from Lord Grey School. You can purchase the school’s insurance policy. The premium is equivalent to 15% of your total letting fee. This is an additional charge over and above your letting fee. (VAT is not charged on insurance).
VAT at the prevailing rate is chargeable on the letting of sporting facilities for sporting activities unless the activity is for over 24 hours or is for a series of lets that fulfil the following criteria:
- The series of bookings consists of ten or more sessions
- Each session is for the same sport or activity and in the same location
- The interval between each session is at least one day, not greater than fourteen days
- The series is paid for or invoiced as a whole
- The Hirer is a club, association, local league or school
- The Hirer has exclusive use of the facility during the session.
