HOUSES: INTRODUCTION

Lord Grey House System is a social layer of school organisation established to promote:

Team spirit
Sense of identity and belonging
Healthy competition and rivalry
Group loyalty
Peer support
Maximum participation

It has an entirely positive function and is not part of the school's disciplinary structure.

The school is divided into four houses, each led by a member of staff and with a designated colour. The names of the houses reflect the language statues of the school:

Berlin, Madrid, Paris, Rome

Throughout the school year, a variety of inter-house competitions will take place, culminating with the sports day at the end of the summer term. These activities will encompass all curricular areas and a range of extra-curricular areas in order to achieve maximum participation and interest throughout the school. At the beginning of each school year a calendar of events will be published along with the scoring and points available for each event.
