English
Year 7 - Work is based on both the National Curriculum Orders for English and the English Framework.

Mathematics
Year 7 - All lessons follow an episodic standard numeracy lesson format, Starter, Main lesson content and Plenary.

Science
Year 7 - covers six topics, four lessons a week for both bands.

Languages
As a Specialist Language College, we offer a full range of languages and resources for language learning.

Humanities
Year 7 study, Georgraphy, History, Citizenship, Religious Studies. These subjects are studied for two lessons per week duirng Spring, Summer and Autumn term.

Business, IT, GNVQ (BIG)
Year 7 students begin the year with an introduction to the school network, learning to log onto he various parts of the system, build a multimedia presentation.

Design Technology and Art
The Design Technology Faculty is divided into three subject areas (Departments): Resistant Materials, Graphic Products and Food Technology.

Learning Resource Centre (LRC)
Our Learning Resource Centre has been specifically designed to be a welcoming and user-friendly environment, in order to provide a positive learning experience for the students of the school.

Performing Arts
The vibrant Performing Arts faculty comprises Drama, Music, Physical Education, Media Studies, Film Studies and Learning and Personal Development (LAPD)

SEN
The SEN faculty (Special Educational Needs) aims to appropriately meet the needs of all students experiencing long or short-term educational difficulties, in line with national policies for inclusion and retention.
