‘Jargon-Busting’

A Guide for Parents on Acronyms, Abbreviations and Educational Jargon

Education at secondary school level is full of jargon! Teachers use jargon, abbreviations and acronyms (a word made up of the initial letters of a phrase) all the time. However, parents may not necessarily understand all the terminology that we use in school, so we have written an easy to use and easy to understand booklet to help and guide parents on key terminology. Other audiences, such as school governors, prospective employers, primary school colleagues and grandparents might also find the booklet useful. Please download the booklet for help and guidance.
