Our Associations

Paris Saint-Germain Academy England’s aim is to develop players of all abilities and bring the methodology of the Parisian club to Lord Grey Academy, where we are the hub for the South East region.

The player development programme is open to all abilities from beginner to elite levels and is available for both boys and girls.

Our association with Teach First, ensures that we have high quality graduates, who are developed and supported as teachers and leaders whom are all determined to make a difference where it’s needed the most.

We received a good rating from Ofsted in our latest report. It found that Lord Grey demonstrated a continued drive for improvement. We are striving to an ‘outstanding’ status and our high standards of teaching and pastoral care will help us on this journey.

Recent research has emphasised the importance of reading on overall academic achievement. This programme helps to motivate students to read, by guiding them to books that are just right for them and rewarding their progress. The school believes in the value of reading for all and many of our students have developed through this scheme.

SSAT offers schools and teachers a vast range of knowledge and expertise to help students acquire the skills that will help them succeed. We have been an SSAT partner for many years.

Within education there continues to be a key focus for the growth of rugby union. The Development Department aims to provide support, resources and information for schools.

The Sainsbury’s School Games Mark is owned and created by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and is implemented and developed by the Youth Sport Trust and Sport England. The ‘mark’ rewards a school for their commitment to and the development of competition, school sport and physical education and was first launched in June 2012.

Recognises and celebrates the excellent work done by many to promote cultural diversity in school along with race equality and opportunities for achievement for all students. It enables schools to develop strong and positive relationships in their learning communities to give everybody a shared vision, a sense of belonging and equal life opportunities regardless of their cultural heritage.

This is a national award. It is a kite mark which provides external evaluation of the quality of governance in a school. This is a challenging award which helps sharpen practice and create a framework for excellent governance.

The Inclusion Quality Mark is a standard for assessing schools against a nationally recognised framework on inclusion. It is designed to create a dialogue about inclusion with objective and supportive evaluation by the IQM team and this results in a model for further growth.

An exciting opportunity allowing Lord Grey Academy to build on the Inclusion Quality Mark; it praises success, bringing schools together to share and build on existing good practice in Inclusion.
