Making Music!
Students from Year 7 were tasked with making musical instruments at home, to further their learning and to help them with an upcoming challenge in their Music Lessons.
The students thought very hard about what they could make and as a result we had a wide range of instruments created including a laser cut harp, a piano, a 3D printed guitar, shakers, drums and even a carrot wind instrument!
The challenge that faced the students once they had created their own musical instruments was to use these creations in lessons to create unique pieces of music together.
The students had just as much fun creating and performing their music as they had creating and designing their instruments.
Everyone agreed that they had enjoyed this exploration in making music and were looking forward to further challenges from the Music department.
