No Pens Day Wednesday
Lord Grey ran its first ever ‘No Pens Day’ for Years 7-10 and it was a huge success. The premise of the day was for students to focus on verbal communication and to develop their speaking and listening skills. Our students told us that they wanted more opportunities in lessons to talk about their learning, so we decided to dedicate a whole school day to focus on their communication skills, whilst still following the schemes of learning in all subject areas. There were a huge range of exciting activities taking place, including escape rooms, human snakes and ladders, debates, crime reconstructions, maggot racing, heart dissection and logic puzzles, to name but a few. Thank you to everyone involved in creating such an inspiring and innovative day!
